Soft outside, make it worth my while
Share a laugh always quick to smile
Turn you round, gonna catch your shadow
Break you open, tell your insides hello
Let everyone see what you’re made of, made of
Can never unsee what you’re made of, made of
Your outside’s pretty but you’re made of, made of
Rage, lies, poisoned pride: this is what you’re made of
To the prettiest girl in the room
And knowing this is about you
She says
“I’m just a poor girl
So small in your world
Come quick, my lovely
Never you mind all the dark inside of me
Never you mind all the dark inside of me”
I gave you such pleasure
Lifted you up and brought you to the edge of
All you could be
Embracing your greed
So you think I’m tame and
Soft in your hands
Yet another mistake in your arrogance
If you ever come near me
I’ll end you gladly
Contort the truth and say you’ll
Allow me to embrace you
Seems to me you’re too two faced
To remember what you’ve done
But I do
Soft outside, make it worth my while
Share a laugh always quick to smile
I turn you around
Turn you round, gonna catch your shadow
Break you open, now
Break you open, tell your insides hello
Let everyone see what you’re made of, made of
Can never unsee what you’re made of, made of
Your outside’s pretty but you’re made of, made of
Rage, lies, poisoned pride: this is what you’re made of
And they say I’m the soul-eater, grim reaper, woe-bringer
They don’t know about your inner demeanor
Rip you up, there’s your stinger
"Never you mind all the dark inside of me"
I gave you such pleasure
Lifted you up and brought you to the edge of
All you could be
Embracing your greed
So you think I’m tame and
Soft in your hands
Yet another mistake in your arrogance
Look at my face and see
You’ve made an enemy

Some albums are like the circus or a carnival. You get lost in the fun, the happy the cheerful. This album is like the perfect candlelit warm bath. Sometimes it washes away the world. Other times you contemplate drowning yourself. This is that album. Kathleen Kenkel

I do not normally cry because of music, or fiction in general. Chords made me cry. Every time I listen to it, it still feels like a warm, tight goodbye hug.
But it isn't what convinced me to buy this album, because damn, I knew I would right from the start of Secret Worlds, and knew it ever more at every song. The way the songs here can combine to tell a whole new story, and even reference others from The Horror and the Wild, is just magnificent. Mayana

I discovered this band mere weeks ago through pure chance; someone recommended Fair in a discussion about wholesome songs. And it was; love at first listen. YouTube recommended me Battle Cries next, so I gave that a listen too, and the the energy and the overlapping lyrics made me fall in love anew.
I bought this album and Ruin less than a day later. Everything TAD have made is true art, different from everything else I've heard. Mayana
